Mr. Victor Yang attended the conference “LESI 2021 Winter Planning”

Mr. Victor Yang, the Chairman and CEO of Purplevine IP Group, was invited by Licensing Executives Society International (LESI) to the conference “LESI 2021 Winter Planning” in the capacity of industry advisor. Mr. Yang advocated support for small- and middle-scale enterprises possessing good, innovative technologies amid the pandemic. He also provided industrial insights for the FRAND considerations and argued that the FRAND terms should not be judged by their formality but from the substance and result. Last but not the least, he advocated that more innovative licensing models should be implemented for a balanced and sustainable development of industries. For example, he cited the innovative negotiation mechanism of “User Pool” which has been promoted by Purplevine IP Group to balance the rights and tension between the patent owners and the implementers.

According to the annual survey of Managing Intellectual Property (MIP), Purplevine IP Group is ranked as the top 10 Chinese IP firms in terms of the number of PCT applications filed for national stage entry in 2019.
